What initially inspired you to become an artist, and how did you develop your unique style?

Growing up, I was always fascinated by the unnoticed details in the world around me. From a sunbeam making the water sparkle to a solitary leaf dancing in the wind, these unnoticed moments spoke volumes to me. It's these intimate interactions with nature that drew me to art. As for my style, I see it as an evolving fusion of traditional photographic techniques with modern perspectives. Traditional methods ground me in the historical roots of photography, while the contemporary perspective allows me to echo the rhythms of the present, creating a resonance between past and present in my work. I consider myself a visual storyteller, and I love to use the medium of photography to provoke thoughts and emotions.

In terms of subject matter, what themes or motifs do you frequently explore in your work, and what draws you to these topics?

The themes I tend to explore revolve around life's contrasts. I'm intrigued by the duality inherent in our existence and find it particularly inspiring to portray this through my work. It's not a premeditated choice, but rather an instinctual pull towards the serene and tumultuous, the ephemeral and the eternal, the remembered and the forgotten.

Can you discuss a specific piece or project that challenged you as an artist, and how you overcome those challenges?

One project that stands out is "Flurries". This project had me delve into the intricate corridors of my past, unearthing fragments of my childhood and piecing them together through photography. The emotional journey was challenging, but it was also a cathartic process, allowing me to revisit, reinterpret, and recreate those deeply personal memories. It pushed the boundaries of traditional photography and expanded my understanding of how technology could enhance the portrayal of personal narratives.

How do you stay connected with other artists and keep up with new developments and trends in the art world?

Connectivity with the art community is a vital part of my artistic growth. Art exhibitions, collaborative projects, and platforms focusing on emerging trends in the art world are the usual routes. My primary source of motivation and inspiration is the world around me. The myriad narratives that our world offers are profound and endless. Whenever I encounter a creative block, revisiting these stories, these little narratives of life, helps me. I'm driven by the human connection to these experiences and the need to interpret and present these through my art.
