Eszter Turbéky

I was born in 1977 in Budapest, Hungary and have been engaged in photography since 2006. Initially, I was self-taught, reading everything related to photography and taking pictures constantly. In 2010, I attended the ASA Studio photo course, where we learned not only technical skills but also how to develop an artistic vision. I have participated in several exhibitions in Budapest, Hungary, both solo and group shows. Last year, I exhibited in a group show at Boomer Gallery in London, located at 150 Tooley Street, SE1 2TU. While I attended the MÚOSZ (National Association of Hungarian Journalists) Photojournalism course, I always viewed photojournalism as a profession; my true interest has always been in art—specifically photo art. I love reducing and transforming elements of reality into art that reflects my vision and feelings. One of my favorite art movements is Surrealism, along with Impressionism. My images often blend elements of both styles.
