Olalekan Kushimo

Olalekan Kushimo is a Photographer and a self-taught Still Life and Digital Artist with a distinctive and unique style of painting, that defines art with lines in relation to culture, people, nature and animals. Lines and patterns are what connects us - names, characters, places, culture, thoughts, emotions, architecture and many more. From the lines of Egyptian symbols to the tribal mark(s) of an African child, the combination of these patterns is what creates my style of art. It is an identity that tells our story and origin just as much as it tells our names. I have used these patterns to intrigue and engage my audience, art lovers and critics. Even though they seem like puzzles to the eyes but a close engagement shows the patterns forming English alphabets, titles of my art pieces and storytelling. That is what makes my work uniquely defined and inspiring to my audience.
